Crafting a Signature Identity for Mississippi Tourism’s Premier Annual Event

For the 2025 Governor’s Conference, the Mississippi Tourism Association needed a visual identity that felt deeply rooted in the host city of Vicksburg while still aligning with the statewide brand their members know and trust. The goal: create a custom event mark and full suite of collateral that would serve as the visual heartbeat of the conference.

Our team developed a custom emblem, the Key City Badge, inspired by Vicksburg’s heritage, architecture, and geography. Building from this core mark, we designed a cohesive system of print and digital materials, including event programs, table toppers, tote bags, signage, presentation slides, and social media assets. The final suite unified the entire attendee experience, carrying the conference theme consistently across many touchpoints.

The Key City Badge

At the center of this year’s conference identity is the Key City Badge, a custom emblem created exclusively for the 2025 event. Each detail of the badge draws from a meaningful piece of Vicksburg’s story. From its historic architecture to its reputation as “The Key to the South”, we partnered with the Mississippi Tourism Association to create an elevated, place-specific conference experience that welcomed attendees from across the state.
